Electrical cords. Same as above, if you’re going to get extra electrical cords, get them now. You can find power bars, outlet splitters, extension cords, and other accessories for cheap. You might be able to find them in “evergreen” colors, but that doesn’t bother me with how cheap they are.
Computer accessories. Lots of stores (especially the office ones) have little trinkets like USB splitters, fun tape dispensers, Sharpie pens, and more for cheap. They had them out to be used as stocking stuffers but you can use them in the classroom and at your desk. Check out and find cool deals!
Wrapping Paper. Want a cool background for that wintery bulletin board in January or February? Go and get some wrapping paper now and put it up on your boards later. In fact, I got a cool red paper with snowflakes that I love using in February. You can find lots of cheap papers that are great throughout the Spring semester (or to use next December!).
Check out those Dollar Aisles (Target! Here I come!) to see what’s gone on super sale. Lots of fun stuff can be had for cheap and packed away for next year.
Start looking for fun “After-New Years” sales to pick up those “year specific” stuff. I used the “2013!” stuff that I bought after last year at New Years and last year after graduation to decorate my door and space at the beginning of this school year.
